Hajj 2024: Kano pilgrims board partners Ministry of Religious Affairs for smooth exercise

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa, has pledged to collaborate closely with the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa made this statement today while receiving the Commissioner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in his office.

Danbappa acknowledged the significant contributions made by the Ministry during last year’s Hajj operation and expressed gratitude for their support and assistance.

He assured the Commissioner of the Board’s full cooperation in achieving their common goals, describing the visit as timely and appropriate.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Honorable Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Auwal, emphasized the importance of fostering a strong and harmonious relationship between the Ministry and the Board.

Honorable Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani further stated the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, recognizing its pivotal role in religious affairs within the state.

The Commissioner also took the opportunity to remind the public that decisions regarding the placement of parastatals within the state are solely the prerogative of the Governor.

He concluded by expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the provision of Hajj subsidies for registered intending pilgrims in the state.
