A total of 137,198 pilgrims will go to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh this year for performing Hajj this year.
Among them, 120,000 people will perform Hajj under private management and 17,198 others under government management, reports UNB.
This information was revealed at a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry on Sunday.
The government signed an agreement with the Saudi government in this regard recently.
The meeting also said a calendar has been made for holding the Hajj activities smoothly.
The committee also recommended giving priority to the medical diploma certificate holders to assist the Hajj medical team to ensure better medical services of the pilgrims.
