Kano closes sales of Hajj Seats, direct local officers to commence documentation

Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Director General, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa, emphasized this directive during a meeting with local government Hajj center officers today.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u stated that in compliance with the directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to halt the sale of Hajj seats allocated to Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board it has been closed since 28,March 2024.

He noted that despite the closure, individuals are still seeking seats, urging Hajj center officers to inform intending pilgrims that seat sales have officially ended as per the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s directive.

The Director General urged officers to prioritize the pilgrims’ documentation process to ensure no one is left behind.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u highlighted the nearing deadline for Hajj visa applications, set by Saudi Arabia for April 29th, emphasizing that only those with complete documentation can proceed with the visa application.

He concluded with a prayer for the protection of the staff and management of the Board in the discharge of their duties.
