Maysam Yahya Mohamed
Maysam Yahya Mohamed, a six-year old Emirati girl, has completed memorization of the Holy Quran with Tajweed and recitation. She became the youngest person in the United Arab Emirates to memorize the entire Quran.
According to her mother, “She completed 2 Chapters of the Holy Quran at the age of 3 years only. She started her journey through the Tahfiz Sessions Organized by the Sharjah Foundation. She also won 7th place at the Sheikh Zayad Holy Quran Competition at the age of 3 years being the youngest participant in the Quran Competition.”
Alhamdulillah, She accomplished all these even before joining the nursery. The main reason behind such great achievement of Maysam Yahya Mohamed at merely the age of 6 years old is her habit of reciting the Quranic verses which she hear in the Radio Stations and television channels.
She was later admitted to the Khorfakkan Mosque, where she learnt the rules of correct recitation and also continued the memorization of the Quran.
She was honored by the Holy Quran Radio in the Emirate of Sharjah. She also received the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, which is an Islamic Institution active in the propagation of the Book Of Allah by organizing Quranic competitions, events and programmes related to activating memorization of Quran, bringing people and especially youth near the Quran and dissemination of Quran.
The institution also encourages the young people to memorize the Quran by providing the valuable resources and the guidance.
