Nigerian operator 9mobile, has launched a new season of its Hajj Roaming Offer to enable pilgrims to make and receive calls, send and receive SMS, and use data at cheaper rates while in Saudi Arabia. From 01 May to 31 August , customers of 9mobile on Umrah and Hajj can make local calls to Saudi Arabia from NGN 45 per minute.
The offer is available on the Mobily and Zain networks in Saudi Arabia and also provides calls to Nigeria at NGN 70 per minute. Pilgrims get 200 minutes of free incoming calls, too, upon recharging by NGN 5,000. With the discounted roaming offer, customers get SMS charges of NGN 35 per page as well as a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) data rate of NGN 0.5 per 10kb.
