The religious affairs ministry today warned people against transactions with anyone before official announcement from the ministry on resuming Umrah Hajj.
“A notification will be issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs subject to permission from the Royal Saudi Government to perform the holy Umrah. Before that people are requested not to do any transaction with anyone regarding performing of Umrah hajj,” the ministry said in an urgent circular.
“This is to inform all that no official letter from the royal Saudi government on resuming of Umrah hajj has been received so far. Nevertheless, some individuals and some agencies are carrying out advertising on Umrah on Facebook and social media mentioning certain dates,” added the circular.
“This is tantamount to deception of devout Muslim people.”
The circular also said legal actions are already being taken as per rules for such activities.
