Hajj 2022: FCT Director extols pilgrims’ exemplary conducts

The Director of FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiru Danmallam has expressed satisfaction with the behaviour of FCT contingent to this years hajj exercise.

 

Mallam Danmallam stated this during an interview with newsmen in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

He expressed his appreciation over the exemplary behaviour of the FCT pilgrims this year in line with the request of the administration before their departure from Nigeria.

 

The Director reassured of the determination of the Board to continue in the provision of welfare services comparable to non of its sister agencies across the country.

He stated that the Administration was able to acquire a befitting accommodation in Makkah which is the closest to the holy mosque of Haram in Makkah compared to any other states of Nigeria.

 

He said the Board was able to bring a total of 1918 FCT pilgrims for this years Hajj in 5 flights, out of which 1255 have already been airlifted back home in 3 flights.

 

Mallam Danmallam disclosed that the airlift of the remaining 663 pilgrims back home is scheduled to be completed by the end of this month as arranged by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 

According to the Director, the FCT has not recorded any casualty in this years Hajj and prayed for the successful completion of the operation.
