The Chairman of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) Prof. Sayed Malik has paid courtesy visit to the new Comptroller of immigration, Oyo State Command, Mr. I. A. Dan Suleiman in his office in Oyo State.

Prof. Malik who was accompanied by the Secretary, Alhajah J.K. Olanipekun the Director, Finance &Account, Alhaj W. A. Adebiyi and the ICT Officer Mr. Hafiz Amzat explained that the purpose of the visit was to thank the new Comptroller of Immigration Oyo State command for his visit to the Hajj Camp, Olodo on his assumption of duty in Oyo State.   He expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the Board to the Comptroller of Immigration wishing him Allah’s  blessings and happy stay in Oyo State.

 

While appreciating the assistance rendered by immigration officers to Oyo State Pilgrims during the 2019 Hajj Operation, the Chairman expressed the hope that the cordial relationship between the Oyo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board would be sustained.

 

The Chairman raised the issue of the enhanced Bio-metric e-Passport linked with National Identification Number (NIN) in relation to the current passports with the intending Pilgrims.  The Comptroller of Immigration explained that the Bio-metric e-Passport does not render the old Passport invalid.  He said that when the old passport expires the new Bio-metric e-Passport would be issued to replace it.

The Secretary, Alhajah Olanipekun gave the vote of thanks while the Director Finance & Accounts, Alhaj Adebiyi offered special prayer for the Comptroller of Immigration and all his officers.
