Hajj 2023: Nasarawa to airlift 2100 Pilgrims, promise refunds before departure

Any intending pilgrim who either made deposit or completed his Hajj fare and was not opportune to be part of this year’s contingent to the holy land shall get his or her refund before leaving the country for Hajj.

This were the words of the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura during an emergency meeting with the local governments Hajj Coordinators in Lafia.

According to Mallam Almakura the total number of seats allocated to Nasarawa State is less than the number of registered prospective pilgrims, hence the need for the board to adopt first-come-first method.

 

He however noted any intending pilgrims who were dropped because of inadequate seats can apply for refund and those who wishes to differ their Hajj fare can equally do so.

 

Mallam Idris Almakura further explain that those who differ their Hajj fare against next year Hajj shall be given priority.

 

The Executive Secretary use the medium to warned Hajj coordinators to against fraudulent act saying anyone found wanting will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

 

About two thousand one hundred intending pilgrims are expected to perform this year’s Hajj from Nasarawa State as the airlifting commence on 25th of May, 2023.
