The Katsina state pilgrims’ welfare board said it has commenced the 2024 Hajj mandatory enlightenment exercise for its 2024 hajj pilgrims.
Flagging off of the exercise the Executive Governor of the state Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD advised the intending pilgrims to seek more knowledge on how to performed Hajj rituals before departing to the Holy land.
Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD gave the advice during the flag off. He was represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary ministry for religious affairs on behalf of the commissioner of the ministry Dr.Ishaq Shehu Dabai
He said Katsina state government under the leadership of the executive Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD made adequate arrangement for the welfare of pilgrims from katsina state both at home and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Executive Director Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama urged the intending pilgrims to cooperate with the board for the Success of the exercise.
Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON had allocated 4,500 slots to Katsina state out of which over 2600 so far paid for by the intending pilgrims from the state.
In their separate remarks the board member Dr Munir Sheikh Ja’afaru who spoke on behalf of the board Chairman Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai, Director PRS Dr Aminu Abdullahi Yammawa commended the state government for organizing such exercise annually and also urged the intending pilgrims to cooperate with the board for the Success of the exercise,
