Umrah has 3 pillars as follows:
Articulatin ones intention/assuming Ihram
(b) Tawaaf Qudum i.e, welcome Tawaaf
(c) Sa’i.
Umrah has 2 compulsory acts:
Assuming Ihram from the meeqaat
Shaving or carpeting ones hair.
HOW TO PERFORM UMRAH PROPER
after a pilgrim spent some days in Madina he/she wil travel to Makkah by road & would stop at a place called DHUL- HULAIFAH which is the miqat for the people of Madina.
INTENTION/ IHRAAM : One would take his bathe & assume Ihram with the followin intention
LABBAIKA ALLAHUMMA UMRATTAN..
After taking intention and assumed ihraam one will enter miqaat masjid & observe 2 unit Raka’ah in the miqat masjid then proceeded to ur vehicle’s & chant Talbiyyah as follows:
LABBAIKA ALLAHUMMA LABBAIK, LABBAIKA LASHAREEKA LAKA LABBAIK, INNAAL HAMDA WAN NI’MATA LAKA WAL MULK LA SHAREEKA LAK.
You will continue to chant the Talbiyyah till you sighted Holly ka’abbah in Makkah.
TAWAAF: As you arrived Makkah safely one will proceed to keep your belongings at your hotel room and later go for Tawaaf in the Holly ka’abbah to perform tawaful Qudum i.e, Arrival circumambulation.
One can deferred his Tawaaf for health challenges, women on menstruation or postnatal bleeding etc. Remember you will still be on the state of Ihraam till you perform your Tawaaf , Sa’i and cutting your hair to mark the end of your UMRAH for those who are performing Hajj TAMATU’
