NAHCON congratulates Saudi Arabia for successful 2019 Hajj

Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, congratulate has congratulated the Saudi Arabian government for successfully hosting Pilgrims from all over the world in the 2019 Hajj season.

Over 2 million Muslims around the world, including over 50,000 Nigerians preformed the just concluded hajj rites in the two holy cities of Makkah and Medina.

The Chairman made the commendation at the heels of the recently concluded Muna Hajj rites which ended peacefully, as pilgrims returned to Makkah safely to start preparation for returning to their respective destinations.

In a statement by Fatima Sanda Usara,
Head, Public Affairs of NAHCON, the Chairman praised the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for their professional handling of the hitch-free exercise.

“Barrister Mukhtar then extolled the Establishment of Mutawwifs for Pilgrims from African Non-Arab Countries, popularly referred to as Mu’assasah, for the excellent arrangement in Muna and Arafat that helped to enhance the comfort of Nigerian pilgrims in the tents, especially with the provision of air conditioning units at no extra cost at all on the pilgrims,” the statement reads in parts.

“Their well-organized teams that were placed on standby to serve the Pilgrims throughout the period, deserves appreciation.

Similar recognition, according to the statement, was made of the General Car Syndicate and other transport companies that moved all pilgrims within stipulated time and brought them back without delay.

The NAHCON Boss also expressed profound happiness at the conduct of Nigerian pilgrims and their officials who displayed decorum and abided by the rules and regulations of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that their comducts had indeed made the country proud.
