The Supreme Council of Imams and Islamic Affairs in Latin America and the Caribbean has expressed their appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman of Saudi Arabia for directing the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance to ship more than one million copies of the Holy Qur’an, published in more than 21 languages to 29 countries.

In a statement, Sheikh Abdl Al-Hamid Metwally, chairman of the Supreme Council of Imams and Islamic Affairs in Latin America and the Caribbean, said, “We received these directives with joy, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Nevertheless, it did not prevent the Kingdom from fulfilling its duty not only to serve the Two Holy Mosques but to serve the Holy Qur’an in Ramadan, the month in which the Qur’an was revealed, thus it sets an example in preserving the Qur’an and spreading its meanings in different languages.”,

Sheikh Metwally also wished the Kingdom’s leadership and its people steady progress and prosperity. — SPA
