Saudi Arabia to announce 2022 Hajj quota soon – Minister

Saudi Arabia is set to relaunch the Hajj for foreigners including Bangladeshis after long days. Bangladeshis pilgrims could not perform Hajj due to restrictions imposed by the Saudi government because of the coronavirus outbreak. This year as the situation has improved; there is no obstacle for Bangladeshi pilgrims to perform Hajj.

 

However, as before, there is still uncertainty as to whether the quota of Bangladeshi pilgrims will be fulfilled or not. Alongside, how many will be able secure the permission for Hajjs is depending on the Saudi government’s decision.

 

However, Saudi Arabia will soon make a formal decision on the issue. State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan has been assured on behalf of the Saudi government.

 

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, State Minister Faridul Haque is currently visiting Saudi Arabia to know the progress of Hajj.

 

He made a courtesy call on Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, at his ministry at 12:00 pm (local time) in Jeddah on Sunday (March 20).

 

The Saudi minister told him that a decree would be issued soon on behalf of the Saudi Arabia government in this regard.
