The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has said that it is yet to receive any official announcement on the allocation of hajj seats for Hajj 2021.

Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health had on Saturday released a document recommending a total number of 60,000 pilgrims for Hajj 2021 with 15,000 from Saudi Arabia and 45,000 from outside the Kingdom.

The document, seen and published by HAJJ REPORTERS also outlined and recommended 9 other guidelines for hajj 2021. The document was also published by @Haraiaminfo – the official twitter handle of the two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia.

A highly placed source  who is a part of NAHCON’s delegation currently in Saudi Arabia informed HAJJ REPORTERS that “though the document might be genuine and an advisory, it has not been made official by relevant Saudi Hajj body especially Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah – the ministry responsible for organizing and conducting Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia”.

He said his team is waiting for the official position of Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah which will come in form of correspondence or meeting with other hajj participating countries.
