Hajj 2019; Bauchi Pilgrims Cautioned Against Excess Luggage

The Bauchi State Pilgrims board have been cautioned  against excess luggage beyond the approved 8kg and 32kg for hand bag and big bag so as not to cause delay during return journey home exercise.

The Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar, gave the warning during a visit to the accommodation of Bauchi Pilgrims’ at misfalat area, in the holy city of Makkah.

The Chairman who spoke through the commissioner representing North East, Alh Danjuma Salihu Usman said scales would be provided at every accommodation for weighing the luggage of pilgrims and therefore advised them to adhere strictly the specifications provided.

Speaking on Pilgrims’ airlift back home, Alh Danjuma Salihu said the airlift will be base on ‘first-in, first-out’ as planned by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), saying the scheduled date and time can only be release when arrangement is concluded.

Alh Danjuma Salihu take advantage of the visit to further condole with the families, Bauchi State Government, Pilgrims and Hajj officials over the death of two (2) Bauchi pilgrims in this year’s exercise.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the Ag. Executive secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mal. Alkasim Dallami Shall expressed delight over the NAHCON visit to Bauchi Accommodation at this auspicious period.

He assured the NAHCON on Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board commitment to intensify the education and enlightenment of the pilgrims particularly on rules and regulations of Saudi Authorities and airline operators.
