Complete Olodo Hajj Camp  Project – Oyo Pilgrims Board Chairman Begs Makinde

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has been enjoined to see to the completion of the new office complex and other structures under construction at the State Hajj Camp in Olodo Ibadan.

 

The Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Professor Sayed H.A Malik made the request while speaking at the farewell ceremony for the Muslim Faithful embarking on holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina from the state.

 

Professor Malik said the projects which were commenced in 2010 have been abandoned since 2015.

 

“The Governor has been giving us massive support to enable us make necessary arrangements for hitch free trips for our pilgrims. And we are grateful to His Excellency for this”, he said.

 

Professor Malik then adds: “However, we are appealing to the People’s Governor to assist the Board in completing the abandoned projects at the Hajj Camp premises at Olodo”.

 

The Governor, who was represented by the Chairman of the State Housing Corporation Alhaji Bayo Lawal, assured that the completion of the project would be considered by the State Governor.
