The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), will be placing an official in each accommodation secured for Nigerian pilgrims in Madinah to take charge of logistics during this year’s Hajj exercise.

This was revealed Friday by NAHCON’s Madina coordinator, Ahmed Maigari who also reiterated the commitment of the Commission and the Madinah Team in ensuring that Nigerian Pilgrims enjoy

best services

Alhaji Maigari made the remarks in a meeting he held with the various service providers in preparation for the kickoff of the 2019 Hajj.

The meeting, according to a report sent in by NAHCON media unit, ”was to ascertain the level of preparedness by the service providers in anticipation of the arrival of Nigerian Pilgrims that are scheduled to start arriving Madinah on 10 July 2019”.

The report said Alhaji Maigari also updated the service providers on the new arrangement put in place by the commission ”which will see each Nigerian accommodation in Madinah having one NAHCON official as pilgrims hotel

manager”.

He said the manager will oversee the logistics needs of the pilgrims, as well as serve as the gateway between the pilgrims and the hotelier.

In their response, the service providers Alsied Ahmed Mohammad Zuhdi, Managing Director Al-Zuhdi Group and

Abdulaziz Saleh Ageel Al-Oufi, the General Manager Al Andalus Company, all

welcomed the development and assured Maigari of their readiness to serve Nigerian Pilgrims in various capacities.

In another development, Alhaji Maigari has tasked the 2019 accommodation team sent by NAHCON to make sure they consolidate on their achievements last year.

” There is no room for error this year, as you cannot go below what you achieved last year, ” he said.
