HAJJ 2022: BAUCHI SETS MAY 11 DEADLINE FOR COLLECTION OF 2022 HAJJ DEPOSITS

by admin

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on prospective depositors who earlier paid up to N1.5M or below to ensure their deposit reach N2.5M before May 11, 2022, pending the announcement of final fare by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, made the call in Bauchi while addressing Local Government Hajj Affair Officers on the 2022 Hajj preparations.

He noted that Bauchi state has limited allocation of 1,362 seats for this year’s Hajj, adding that the distribution will be based on first come first serve.

On the hike in Hajj deposit, Imam Abdurrahman attributed the global economic situation coupled with devaluation of Naira against Dollar as responsible for the projection of the deposit up to N2.5M.

Imam Abdurrahman therefore advised all depositors to take advantage of the grace period to pay up their balance, stressing that this will give opportunity to NAHCON to complete preparations for a hitch-free exercise.

He reiterated the commitment of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad to ensure pilgrims have full value for their money through improved service delivery.
