As part of Preparation for the smooth take-off of 2024 Hajj Operations, the Executive Secretary of Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Hon Daiyabu Dauda met with service providers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The meeting aimed to seal the agreements for accommodation for Plateau state pilgrims
The Executive Secretary informed the service providers that the state will not accept substandard services noting that Governor Caleb Mutfwang has emphasized the need for a befitting accommodation to enable the state contingents to enjoy their stay while in the holy land.
Alh.Dauda informed the service providers that Governor Mutfwang is determined to give Pilgrims all the necessary support stressing that the present administration would not tolerate any acts intended to jeopardize the effort of the state Government towards efficient service delivery to Plateau Pilgrims.
He further noted that the board has inspected the accommodation to ensure that it is close to the Grand Mosque in line with the directives of Governor Muftwang before signing the contract
While signing the contract, Alhaji Muhammad Ali Al Barnawi for the accommodation providers assured the government of Plateau State of his commitment to keep to the terms of the agreement and promised to put in their best for the state Pilgrims.
Albarnwi used the opportunity to commend the Plateau State Government for engaging the accommodations service providers since January this year before finally sealing the contract in April 2024 after assessing the accommodations thoroughly and promising to give their best to Plateau State 2024 pilgrims.
Earlier before signing the contract, the Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, Malam Jalal Arabi appealed to Sheikh Albarnawi accommodation providers to do their best for the Pilgrims as Plateau State and Nigeria will not accept failure in handling the accommodation of Pilgrims hence the need for the service providers to redouble efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The event took place at Hajj House Makka, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
