He memorized the Holy Qur’an and studied at the Teachers’ College in Madinah where he graduated as a mathematics teacher. He moved on to work in Makkah as a maths teacher at the Balat Al-Shuhada Middle School, then became a student guide at Prince Abdul Majeed School in the Al-Awali neighborhood in Makkah.
Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly, the Imam & Khateeb of Masjid Al Haram, is considered one of the most famous readers who recited the Qur’an in this era.
