The Executive Director, Katsina State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Alh Suleiman Nuhu Kuki will lead the top management team and 2022 Pilgrims Enlightenment resources persons invited by the board.

Suleiman Kuki who revealed this ahead of the event today at the board’s Headquarters in Katsina told newsmen that the board has widened the scope of pilgrims Enlightenment by introducing what he called “3 in 2 ‘ Pilgrims education model.

According to him ‘the newly introduced model will encompass Enlightenment on spiritual dos and don’ts, the medical guidelines, and the Hajj 2022 operational manuals in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. The 3 in 2 simply means that they will be lectured in 3 core areas in 2 place (Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia).

Kuki said it becomes necessary for Pilgrims to be aware of not only how to perform the three types of hajj but also operational and medical guidelines for them to appreciate and comply with the administrative necessities here in Nigeria and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We have assembled experienced resource persons that will go round the zonal center’s and will also visit pilgrims accommodation in Saudi Arabia as a follow up Enlightenment. We also intends to advise them on how to prudently managed their BTA while in the Kingdom  because prices of things has increased dramatically since 2019 hajj exercise.

‘Hajj operation is a complex exercise that involves many agencies working together to facilitate smooth movement of pilgrims from Nigeria to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You have Custom, NDLEA,   DSS, Police, Civil  Defence, Immigration, NAFDAC, CBN who processes the BTA, and other supportive local organisations.

“It is important for intending pilgrims to know  what is expected of them at each point of operation. You also have a new medical guidelines. Despite the lifting of Covid 19 pharmaceutical protocols, pilgrims are expected to comply with Covid vaccination and 72 hours pre departure PCR Test and that is why we introduce spiritual, medical and operational education for Katsina State Pilgrims”.
