Ag NAHCON Chairman Lauds  Gov Bala for contribution to Hajj Management

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Kauran Bauchi has been commended for making an indelible print on the path of hajj management and transformation in Nigeria.

 

The Ag. Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Barrister Abdullahi Muktar Muhammad made the commendation while receiving the management of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board led by the Special Adviser to His Excellency, on Pilgrims Affairs Hon Isa Babayo, who paid him a courtesy visit in at the Hajj House in Abuja.

 

Barrister Muktar emphasized that he was not surprised, at within the first year of Governor Bala Muhammad in office, the administration planned to build a modern hajj camp in Bauchi. The chairman said that the “land proposed for construction of an International Hajj Center in Abuja by NAHCON was allocated by the Governor Bala  Abdukadir at  Abuja Central Area when he was the Minister of FCT Abuja.

 

The NAHCON Chairman further described the building of Camp in Bauchi as an all-important request to the commission, which is in line with the Hajj Development Levy fund. He promised that the Commission will advise where necessary and expedite action for early release of the levy fund to facilitate the commencement of the project.

 

Earlier, in his address, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Bauchi State on pilgrims’ affairs, Hon Isa Babayo Tilde who was accompanied by the Ag. Executive Secretary Mal. Akasim Dallami Shall and all Directors of the Board at the visit pointed out that the visit was to strengthen the long existing relationship between Bauchi State Government and the NAHCON.

 

He used the forum to congratulate and appreciate Barrister Abdullahi Muktar for a successful tenure as chairman of Commission, wishing him Allah’s support and guidance in his future endeavours.

 

Hon Isa Babayo, therefore, called on the NAHCON to continue to support Bauchi State under the leadership of Senator Bala Muhammad toward promoting hajj administration in the state.

 

Highlight of the event was a submission of a proposed Architectural preliminary drawing of the proposed Hajj Camp in Bauchi and a set of preliminary Bills of quantities of the project to National Hajj Commission Of Nigeria.
