No fewer than 1,600 Pilgrims from Niger State have so far been taken home in three trips.
This was disclosed by the Acting Executive Secretary of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai shortly after the take off of the State’s Third Flight of Pilgrims at King Abdul Azeez International Airport Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a statement by Hassana Isah, Public Relations Officer of the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Board on Saturday.
She said Lapai expressed satisfaction on the way and manner the return home journey is moving Simultaneously.
The statement added that the acting ES explained that the state is now at the mid of conveying its Pilgrims as Three of the Six Flights it came with have been taken.
“He implored the remaining Pilgrims to continue to exercise patience as the airlift continues.
“The Fourth Flight is expected to outbound from Jeddah later in the evening today, with Pilgrims from Bida, Katcha, Shiroro and part of Bosso Local Governments Areas.
“So far about twelve Local Governments Pilgrims have been ferried home which includes Mariga, Mashegu, Lavun, Edati, Rijau, Chanchaga and Lapai. Others are Munya, Rafi, Kontagora, Agaie, Paiko and some officials,” said the statement
