Hajj 2019: Kebbi Gov urges pilgrims to be good ambassadors

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has advised intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and exhibit impeccable character before, during and after the Hajj.

 

He reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to ensuring the smooth conduct of 2019 Hajj operation and assured them of comfort throughout the exercises.

 

 

The governor gave the assurance while addressing the first batch of pilgrims from the state to Saudi Arabia at the Hajj Camp, Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.

 

Bagudu said his administration has made proper arrangement and provided required facilities for the conduct of the pilgrimage and the airlift of pilgrims.

 

The governor had earlier, inspected facilities at the Hajj Camp during which he interacted with intending pilgrims to bid them fare well.

 

He was received by the Transport Officer, VIO Hayatu Argungu, Alhaji Sani Zauro Hukuma Zannan Gwandu and other top officials of the agency.

 

The governor was briefed of the final arrangements to airlift the first batch of intending pilgrims from the state.

 

The governor  had earlier appointed former governor of the State Sa’idu Dakingari as this year’s Amirul Hajj and leader of government delegations to Saudi Arabia.
