Hajj 2020: Kano to refund pilgrim’s deposit

Kano state pilgrims welfare board said it will return the money deposited by intending pilgrims for this years Hajj.

 

Kano Focus reports that the executive secretary of the board Abba Dambatta announced this in a Freedom Radio programme ‘Rayuwa da corona’.

 

He said those who want refund of their money Wii be paid, while those who want booked for next year’s Hajj have the option to live their money with the board.

 

According to him nobody among intending pilgrims who deposited their pilgrims fare will lose a Kobo.

 

It could be recalled Saudi Arabia has on Monday barred international pilgrims from participating in this years Hajj pilgrimage amid the coronavirus pandemic.

 

However, the country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said Muslims of any nationality currently residing in Saudi Arabia are still permitted to embark on Hajj.

 

Those going this year’s Hajj according to Saudi authorities must be under 65 years old and will be tested upon arrival in Mecca.

 

This is the first time since 1932, the year of Saudi Arabia’s founding, that limitations have been placed on the annual pilgrimage.
