The Emir of Gombe and the state Amirul Hajj to this year’s pilgrimage , Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III, has expressed his readiness to ensure a smooth conduct of the 2019 exercise.

The emir, who said “ leading pilgrims to the holy land is not a new thing” said preparations have begun successfully.
He also prayed that preparations would remain on the positive until it began until the end.
He called on intending pilgrims to abide by the rules and regulations of the exercise and to be patient throughout the pilgrimage period.
“You should know that where you are going is not your country and the place you will be accommodated is different from your own house.
“From our own side there will be no problem from Nigeria and in the holy Land of Saudi Arabia ‘In sha Allah’.
“And we are soliciting for your cooperation for a successful exercise,” he said.
In his remarks, Sheik Adamu Dokoro, a member of the Amirul Hajj’s team urged the pilgrims to respect their leaders, shun rumour mongering and heated discussions with one another.
“Whatever happens you should be patient as it may be ways by which God will test you and if you succeed you will be rewarded with paradise.
“If you have any issue please contact officials for assistance; they are there for you,” he said.
Alhaji Saadu Hassan, the Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, called on the Pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and country at large.
