His Excellency the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sudais launched today Wednesday 8/18/1442 AH the initiative “The greatness of time and place and serving the guests of Rahman” in the presence of 8 participating parties.
And His Excellency said during a speech he gave on this occasion: God has blessed this faithful country as a landing point for revelation and honored it to be a qibla for Muslims and a ray of religion on the whole earth.
And since the establishment of the Kingdom by the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, God willing, our wise government has always served the House of God until this service became a medal of honor for the rulers of this country throughout the ages.
During the speech, His Excellency affirmed the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to overcome all difficulties in front of the pilgrims and to provide them with facilities in addition to care and attention to their affairs from their arrival to the Kingdom’s lands until their safe return to their country.
From here the importance of this meeting stems from the meeting of the bodies participating in the service of the guests of Rahman to recall the importance of this great event and the sanctity and grandeur of the Two Holy Mosques. In addition to working on developing those services and care provided by establishing ways of cooperation between government agencies and the private sector to achieve those goals and directives issued by the High Commissioner.
This initiative targets all parties involved in serving the guests of Rahman through 3 important axes, the first of which is the “Greatness of Place”, which discusses the sanctity and grandeur of the Noble Sanctuary, the Qur’anic texts contained in that, and what was narrated in the book about the good of the desert.
The second axis of this initiative also reviews “the greatness of time”, while the third axis discusses the services provided to visitors to the Sacred House of God, including security, watering, health care and other services supported by the rational government in honor, reverence and celebration for the visitors of the Two Holy Mosques, in feeling the extent of the responsibility entrusted to them.
Under the axis entitled “Serving the guests of Rahman”.
This meeting comes under the directives of His Excellency the President General and under the supervision of the General Administration of the Grand Mosque Academic within the development plans to upgrade the services provided by the Presidency’s vision in line with and support the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
The meeting was moderated by Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Othman Al-Zahrani, Deputy General President for Scientific and Intellectual Affairs.
It is worth noting that this initiative was launched under the supervision of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and with the participation of the Saudi Red Crescent, the Grand Mosque’s security force, the Hajj and Umrah security force, the Health Affairs Department, and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah branch. In addition to the Bin Laden Group and the Zamzamah Unified Watering Office of Zamzam.
