Nasarawa Pilgrims Board Boss urges balance of hajj fare, regrets inconvenience caused by increase

Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on Intending Pilgrims From Nasarawa State who had earlier deposited the sum of four million seven hundred naira ( N4.7 ) million naira as 2024 hajj fare are to pay an additional one million nine hundred and eighteen thousand thirty two naira ninety one Kobo ( 1,918,032.92 ) as this year’s Hajj fare.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura and made available to newsmen in Lafia.

According to the statement, those who hadn’t made earlier deposit and wish to participate in this year’s Hajj are expected to pay the sum of 8,254,464.74

The Executive Secretary who regrets the unfortunate development, said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has given Thursday 28th March 2024 as a dateline for Muslims who wish to partake in the spiritual journey.

The statement further reiterated that any intending Pilgrim from Nasarawa State who also wishes to withdraw his or her intention may request for refund or defer their deposit for next year’s Hajj exercise.
