EXCLUSIVE: NAHCON/Kaduna State Pilgrims Board commence refund to 2019 Hajj Pilgrims for unrendered/poorly rendered services

The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is to commence paying pilgrims from Kaduna State that performed the 2019 hajj as a refund for unrendered or poorly rendered services during the hajj exercise.

A highly placed official who disclosed this to HAJJ REPORTERS said that “NAHCON has compelled some hajj service providers to make refunds for services that didn’t meet the contractual specification or standard agreed upon during the 2019 hajj exercise”.

 

“As I am speaking to you, we are speaking NAHCON has credited our accounts and God’s willing, we may commence inviting pilgrims by tomorrow to come with a proof of identification for the purpose of  disbursing the refunds as directed by NAHCON”

 

On the amount to be refunded back to the pilgrims, our sources said that though the accounting department is still working on the exact amount to be refunded back to pilgrims but said each pilgrim may likely be refunded the sum of N10,000”

 

It will be recalled that NAHCON had institutes hajj service auditing process to monitor and collate necessary data and statistics that will reveal the quality and quantity of services rendered to pilgrim during hajj exercise by both Nigeria and Saudi based hajj service providers.

 

The result of the process is the refund of N1.5 billion naira to states pilgrim’s boards’ pilgrims that performed the 2015 hajj for poorly rendered services.
