The Chairman/CEO National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has charged the 2019 Hajj team of inspectors and negotiators for Pilgrims’ accommodations in Makkah to put the interest of Pilgrims and Nigeria over and above the interest of any person or organisation.
He observed that NAHCON has successfully eliminated Government augmentation of accommodations for pilgrims in Makkah as was the case previously.
The Commission has been able to obtain better buildings at cheaper prices hence the need to sustain the drive which is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s policy of prudent management of resources while delivering efficient services to Nigerian Pilgrims. The teams were therefore urged to work diligently to achieve more value for money.
