PUTRAJAYA was hasty with the sudden suspension on travel to Saudi Arabia effective January 8 without exploring other options to tighten Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) for haj pilgrims, Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad said.

Urging the government to reconsider the temporary suspension, the Amanah lawmaker said several umrah package operators have brought their complaints to him.
