Hajj 2020: NAHCON increases Plateau’s hajj Slot to 1,300, begins collection of deposits

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has allotted 1,300 hajj seats to   Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, just as the board commenced the collection of N500,000 deposits for the 2020 hajj fare.

 

The board Executive Secretary, Barr. Auwal Abdullahi, said in a press release, on Monday in Jos, said that intending Pilgrims are to pay N1.5 Million in three instalments.

 

The release signed by the board Information officer, Namu Suleiman Sanusi, said collection commenced last week at the Board headquarter.

 

“Intending Pilgrims are to deposit a minimum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) as the first instalment and by the end of March 2020, the deposit is expected to reach 1.5 Million,” he said.

 

According to Barrister Auwal, slots of the 2020 Hajj is strictly on first come first serve basis, adding that the board has received 1,300 slots from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for 2020 as against 1,111 slots of last year.

 

He called on all those wishing to perform the year 2020 Hajj to collect bank teller at the Board Headquarters, to give NAHCON enough time to complete preparations for a hitch-free exercise.
