IHR AWARD: Katsina State clinches three awards in Hajj 2022 Operation

Katsina state government, under the leadership of Rt. Honourable Aminu Bello received three awards of excellence in hajj service delivery during the 2022 hajj and for its outstanding policy on welfare of pilgrims from 2015 – 2022.

 

The awards of Excellence was presented to the state by a Nongovernmental organisation Independent Hajj Reporters that monitors hajj activities in Nigeria and the in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during its HAJJ 2022 lecture and awards series held on 22nd of September 2022 at the auditorium hall of national mosque in Abuja.

 

Prominent among hajj stakeholders that attended the ceremony with the theme “Heroes of 2022 hajj” are: Chairman of Max Airline Alh Dahiru Mangal, the Deputy Gov of Kano State, Alh Nasir Yusuf Gawuma, Katsina state deputy Gov Manir Yakub, Senator Bala ibn Na Allah, Chairman House committee on pilgrims Hon Abubaka Nalaraba

 

The Executive Governor of Katsina State Rt.Hon.Aminu Bello Masari was presented with the best and biggest award as Best State Governor on Pilgrims Welfare from 2015 to 2022.

Katsina state Pilgrims Welfare Board was honored as Board with the Best accommodation in Makkah during 2022 hajj and also bags the Best organized state pilgrims board during 2022 hajj.

 

It is noteworthy that this is the first hajj operation conducted under Alh Suleiman Nuhu Kuki lead board since it assumed office in 2019. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia suspended the 2020 and 2021 hajj due the Covid 19 pandemic.

 

During his remark, Governor Aminu Bello Masari commended the Independent Hajj Reporters saying the organizations which start with humble beginning are now a force to reckon with as far as hajj exercise is concerned in Nigeria.
