The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State Council, has commended Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai for appointing, Alhaji Sani Dalhatu Musa as Overseer and Mallam Abubakar Alhassan as Acting Director of Operations of the State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The union described the appointment as a well deserved and a typical example of a square peg in square hole and a demonstration of calculated decision to make pilgrims operations more effective and result oriented.
A statement by the State council secretary Femi John Adi also congratulated the new Overseer and the Acting Director of Operations and urged them to work harder and ensure smooth Hajj operation activities in the state.
Until his appointment, Musa was the Director of Operations and a former Zonal Coordinator of the board and pilgrims officer of Birnin Gwari as well as Igabi local government areas of Kaduna State.
While Alhassan served many local governments as Pilgrims Officer and his last assignment was as Registration Officer of Sabon Gari LGA, until his appointment ad Acting Director operations.
The union also appreciated the contribution of former Overseer of the Board, Imam Hussaini Tsoho Ikara, who contributed immensely to the welfare of pilgrims and development of the board.
